Get your notepads out! You’re going to need them before you run out to your equipment for information. Having the proper, year, make and model number of your equipment is a crucial step in locating the correct parts you need. Here are a few tips on where to look for them.

1. If you are looking for parts that fit a riding or zero turn mower, generally you should have the Make and Model number of your unit. This can usually be found under the seat or on the back of the mower.

2. Craftsman push mowers and many others often have the model number displayed on the back of the deck between the lower handle mounts.

3. Toro generally posts their model and serial numbers on the deck close to the rear.

4. Murray riders also keep their model numbers on the back of the mower or under the seat. Push/Walk behind mowers generally display their model numbers on the center of the deck between the brackets that the lower handle mounts to. Snow thrower model numbers are usually on the auger housing, but may also be mounted on the gear box assembly.

5. If you are looking for parts to fit your mower’s engine we will need the numbers off the engine. In order to locate Briggs & Stratton parts you will need to locate the Model, Type, and Date Codes. They should be located somewhere on the engine shroud.
